  Happiness is a Choice

Happiness may be closer than you imagined. It does not require money, good looks, or fame to be happy. In fact, everyone- both poor and rich, young and old- can attain happiness if he changes the way he thinks a little. It is not very difficult. Enjoy the present, express gratitude regularly, build up good with relationships with others and succeed in becoming a cheerful person.

You truly feel happy when you learn to enjoy the present. If you do not let go of the past and contemplate on it for days and nights, then there would always be a frown on your face. It is important to realize that everyone makes mistakes because no one is perfect. Therefore, whatever mistake you made in the past, accept it, take what you can learn, and move on. Moreover, do not worry about your future as well. Worrying about it will not make any difference, it will only tire you out. Remember that life is made up of  a series of events. Enjoy the present because all you have is right now. When you have completely let go of your past and future, you will see the frown on your face change to a smile.

Secondly, happiness follows when you express gratitude regularly. Being grateful for the things that you have and sharing it with others will give you satisfaction and happiness. You do not have to be a millionaire to be happy. In fact, even millionaires commit suicide because they are depressed. If you have a comfortable place to sleep and food to eat, then you already have something to be thankful about. There are still thousands of people out there who die of starvation. Instead of comparing yourself to others and being envious of what they have, first look at the things that you have and be grateful for it. When you start to look at things positively, it does not take long for you to realize that you are laughing more often.

Finally, you feel happy when you build up good relationship with others. Instead of judging others and finding their flaws, look for the positive traits that they have. Also, when you are interacting with your family, friends, and co-workers, practice respect and patience. If you respect others and think thoroughly before you speak, there are less chances of hurting someone else's feelings and being in a conflict. In fact, others will treat you with respect as well, and healthy relationships can be made. Then you will always have people around you who really cares for you. When you realize that you are not alone, and that you have true friends who share your happiness and sorrows together, you will truly be happy.

Everyone wants to be happy, but not everyone knows how. Happiness is not only limited to certain people, everyone can attain it if he learns to appreciate the things that he has. In order to be happy, concentrate on the present, think positively and look for things to be thankful about, and finally be in harmony with others. The fact is that you have everything you need for happy living right now. Yet, this is still a challenge for me, therefore I need to take actions. I believe that by making a list of what I am thankful for everyday and trying to look for lessons I can learn whenever things do not turn out the way I expect them to, I will be less frustrated and stressed out. In fact, I would be laughing more.

Thesis: Enjoy the present, express gratitude regularly, build up good with relationships with others and succeed in becoming a cheerful person.

    3. The causes are very logical, but some examples could use some more solid facts.
    4. Not alot are used, but there are many if-then statements.
    5. Yes the conclusion restates the thesis.
    6. Yes, she stated :Yet, this is still a challenge for me, therefore I need to take actions. She also connects it with her thesis on how she can apply them to herself.

When you are in charge of how you feel, happiness may be closer than you imagined. Life does not always turn out the way you expect.
